Welcome. I am Ian Broadmore, an esoteric & paranormal investigator, analytical thinker, and practising psychotherapist. This site is the repository of my forty plus years of frontline experience conducting rigorous paranormal investigation, navigating the occult and deconstructing psychic phenomena.
I take an uncompromising, critical and analytical approach to these topics, filtering them through my deep personal history within these worlds and my clinical training in human psychology.
I acknowledge that genuine, visceral, unexplained phenomena exist. But before we can see the true mystery, we must first confront and burn away the fraud, self-delusion. and theatre. By stripping away the nonsense, we clear the path to the truly amomalous.
Most people who write about the paranormal fall into one of two camps: the blind believers who accept every shadow as a ghost, or the rigid cynics who refuse to look at the data at all.
My perspective is entirely different. I have spent over forty years embedded in the esoteric, the occult and paranormal research. But I am also a practicing psychotherapist. My life’s work is not about mindless debunking; it is about stripping away the theater, the illusion, and the psychological projection to see if anything real is left standing.
My Work
For over forty years, I have walked the hidden paths of the Paranormal, & esoteric, studied the mechanics of secret societies, and investigated claims of psychic and paranormal phenomena from the inside out.
At the same time, my career as a practicing psychotherapist has given me a deep, analytical understanding of the human mind – how it handles grief, how it seeks and sees patterns, and how easily it can project its own internal landscape onto the external world.
I am not a cynical debunker. A rigid skeptic has already closed their mind to data. I know from decades of first hand experience that genuine, visceral, unexplained anomalies exist. there is a raw reality connected to consciousness, the elements, and Gaia that defies conventional explanation.
But to find the genuine, you have to burn away the frauds and fakes.
most of what is marketed today as “supernatural” or “paranormal” is predatory theatre, self-delusion, or psychological trickery. by aggressively stripping away the nonsense, we aren’t destroying the mystery – we are clearing the field so we can actually see it.
